After a great and memorable engagement session with these two and Anjali’s Mom 🙂 in Charlottesville at a local park/field a few months before this wedding week, it was apparent these two would be fun come their wedding week. Anjali has this spunky, outgoing, vivacious personality that is super contagious, and to be honest, I think she brings out the playful side of Manish that he didn’t know he even had!
This at-home private residential mehndi was just down-home gorgeous to the max, supported by Team Ace with Ace of Events spearheaded by none other than Mr. Ani Sandhu himself; it was mesmerizing upon walking up to see, quickly inviting you into the most welcoming of atmospheres as if you stepped into the living room and backyard of one of India’s most beloved celebrities and lounged in their backyards with their closest of friends and family – this was the vibe of the entire weekend and we were humbled to be part of the inside view while being treated just like family – this is the stuff that dreams are made of as a vision comes to life after months of planning.
As if things couldn’t get more illuminated and stunning, Anjali and Manish’s sangeet at the Cider Castle Hill Cider and Keswick Virginia, where guests were greeted by waves from Anjali and Manish from aloft the contemporary barn, was more than any guest could want. Having traveled from near and far to see these two so welcoming and happy to get their first official family dance party underway left me with so many things I want to say about this day.
I am a firm believer as a spectator looking in from beginning to way past the end on everyone’s wedding day that a GREAT wedding makes it more about them and less about you because you are wanting and welcoming all of your friends and family into one of the most important and intimate settings of your lives together – your commitment. Promising and vowing in front of all of them that you will be in this through thick and thin, that will all of the both of you, you are all in! So when I see parties where they work hard to welcome and give friends and family a unique experience, it just gives me goosebumps and fills me with such energy that it puts me on a week-long wedding high and fills me up so post-wedding you are reeling in reminiscence of the entire experience. That is just what this family accomplished alongside Ace of Events throughout all the events that kicked off during this wedding week for everyone. It had everyone eagerly awaiting what was next to come… as we headed back to the Boar’s Head Resort for their wedding day tomorrow!
Good morning, Boar’s Head Resort! I’d be lying if I didn’t admit to stalking just about every Bollywood celebrity wedding image that is shared – Katrina Kaif, Deepika Padukone, Priyanka Chopra, and shamingly, the Ambani’s 🙂 I often think to myself, if money is not an issue why weren’t certain simple changes/tweaks made, and I realize that perhaps the photographers covering those weddings feel at a disadvantage when working for a celebrity and possibly just don’t speak up offering their professional advice on matters of lighting and set up. It seems obvious if you are selecting a photographer because of their skill, why wouldn’t you invoke their voice into that part of your planning?
We have had the honor and privilege to photograph many amazing clients from the United States Presidents, Supreme Court Justices, NFL players, Real Housewives of Potomac, ANTM’s reality series, and those who work at our local bank – all of them receive the same recommendations and professional opinion when planning their weddings, and Anjali and Manish were no different. It is evident in how much their vendors worked together to make this amazing and stunning wedding happen, but most importantly, it was how well they received all the advice and inspiration they had to take in to get there. Ani Sandhu and his team over at Ace of Events left nothing to chance when handling this breathtaking event's planning and logistics. We couldn’t be more thankful to them, given all they do for the clients they serve and the vendors/professionals they work alongside – we are truly a team during these events. It often feels that we are all so in sync that the day unfolds like a well-practice performance on Dancing with the Stars. Unfortunately this is an art amongst us all that only we get to see, these relationships and friendships longstanding are both respected and cherished.
Most importantly, when you have an amazing, supportive, creative, classy-elegant Momma, two POSH sisters, and let’s not forget to mention a Dad who has completely made all 4 of the women in his life his world dream of this day, it’s a safe assumption that these events would be nothing short of perfection from the inside out. Plus — let’s say it never hurts to have a little Tarun Tahiliani’s (TT) assistance on the dance floor!
We all know that no wedding would be complete without the groom’s support/opinion and view. Manish, throughout the process, became equally involved; by the days of the wedding week’s execution, an entire team was in this to win it, welcoming all their nearest and dearest friends to party into the late hours of the night with them as they escaped together out the doors of the Boar’s Head Resort through a parade of sparklers into their happily ever after.
This may not be all the amazing images we captured. Still, here are a few of what we feel were our favorites throughout our time with our lovely couple, family, and guests—happy viewing, and HOORAH to everyone for flawless execution. Until we meet again, continue to ROCK ON, my friends!
